With the New Jersey Gran Prix !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , potential for a Formula 1 street-race still exists within the US, but which American city has all the components to make for a great race?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
While some cities were designed for cars, the ones that weren't usually provide more interesting circuits. The poll below lists the top 25 US cities by population. If you think that a smaller city deserves recognition, or you just want to solicit one of the listed cities, please tell us why in the comments.

Personally, I'd love to see a race either in Chicago or San Francisco.

Doesn't matter to me, just as long as they don't make it a street circuit.
I hate street circuits.

Do it in Disneyland or World!

My reasons for voting San Diego even though I live one county up in OC:
1. San Diego is used to having big events. The Super Bowl has been there many times. OC is not used to these kinds of crowds for single events. LA is too congested. San Diego has the perfect mix of great weather and less traffic than LA or the Bay Area.
2. Families that make the trip for F1 can also go to Sea World. If there is enough time you could also drive an hour north to see Disneyland.
3. CA has a huge car culture. A lot of people from So Cal would drive to San Diego to see the event. I know I would.
4. Partiers that come for F1 can also visit Mexico and/or LA.
5. The weather is usually very predictable. Pick the right time and you probably won't have rain on race day.
6. Nice hotels and restaurants. You have all sorts of nightlife down town from dance clubs to jazz clubs.

It's a shame they're never going to do it at Watkins Glen again.

I voted Denver. Maybe if ol Bernie burned a couple down he'd chill out and quit being such an asshole.

I would say Indy because it is close but I don't think they want anyone to be bringing up the last time they raced there. Chicago it is. Can you imagine the cars going over the bridges?

I voted for Philly for purely selfish reasons.

There actually used to be a Denver Grand Prix (for Champ cars) and it was awesome, but they stupidly stopped it. Don't recall why.

The same can be said for Houston, except for visiting Mexico.

The track might suck and no one will show up, still not changing my vote.

I voted for Seattle just to see agony on the drivers. :3c

I'd love to see them host it in New York and have the cars blast full fucking force through the hispter hotspots. Let's see them get try to cut Dick Nose McLaren in their fixies/monocycles/vegan powered wheeled contraptions.

If I were to ever make a street circuit in Cincinnati, it'd be this.

If San Francisco = Sonoma, then that's my vote.

Lots of good track layouts would be available using a few of the many windy roads in Golden Gate park and maybe a little of some of the grids from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Seattle! It'd be wet and wild! Though I'm not sure a street course would be feasible and not sure where a huge F1 complex would be built but it would be awesome!

Irrelevant until there's a car going around the track with Ford or Cadillac/Chevrolet (my money is on Cadillac) written all over it....

No. Chicago would not work. Because let's put it this way, when they were bidding on the Olympics, the plan was to park people ~60 miles away from the city and bus them in. Can you imagine doing that (or even to a lesser scale, 10 miles) just for a race?

Seattle or San Francisco, but ONLY if hills can be worked in as launch ramps somehow.

I know it doesn't stand up to scrutiny but I voted Indianapolis:
1. The city is actually willing to step up to the plate to provide for major sporting events
2. Our state is willing to spend money to make it look like we are doing something worthwhile
3. It's late and I'll think of worthwhile points tomorrow

YES PLEASE. Though I don't think they'd send the cars over the metal-grate bridges, easy loss of traction + water below = bad news. However, I'm not sure what I was going to say is any better:
Can you imagine the engine sounds reverberating throughout the city if part of the track was on Lower Wacker Dr?!? MY GOD.

Well, my vote was for the hometown, but looking at the list more objectively I think Philadelphia would be awesome.
